US Players' Choice | An Even Greater Selection Nintendo's Players' Choice range sees many older GameCube titles that have sold in sufficient numbers re-released in budget form. Therefore for anyone who missed out on these 'classics', the cheaper price-point of $29.95 means that there is simply no excuse to make the same mistake twice. Originally there were only three games launched under the range: Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros Melee and Pikmin, but now the following five have been added to the list: Star Wars - Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue LeaderAgent Under FireSpider-ManSonic Adventure 2: Battle andResident Evil. As you can see, with the likes of James Bond: Agent Under Fire and Spiderman listed it is clear why the word 'classics' was placed in inverted commas...This announced change is apparently to take place almost immediately, but some retailers may need to gentle reminder about the situation since Nintendo was slow to inform them about the initial three titles. So how will this effect European gamers? Well, at present it is relatively unknown, but Sonic Adventure 2: Battle has just been announced as being reduced over here in the UK, and it would be extremely surprising if Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Resident Evil didn't follow suit pretty soon. As for Spiderman and Agent Under Fire, who knows? What is of interest, is that Wave Race: Blue Storm seems to have thus far been shunned. Other titles that will probably make the list sooner or later (in the UK at least): Eternal Darkness, Doshin the Giant and maybe even Mickey's Magical Mirror and NBA Courtside 2002.
